Updated: Mar 21, 2023

Opposites Abstract Featured Artist Roderick Ramsey at Museum Lab Pittsburgh PA

Museum Lab [Children's Museum Pittsburgh] | March 4 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Explore color theory as an individual and as part of a group. This program is a part of a monthly series highlighting pairs of opposites featured in the exhibit Opposites Abstract: A Mo Willems Exhibit, now open in Museum Lab.

Individual Activity: Visitors will have the ability to create their own works of art with materials supplied by Ocular Arcade. Supplies will include multi-color construction paper with printed shape templates. Visitors will cut out the shapes and colors of their choice with kid’s safety scissors. Then juxtapose the pieces together on 8.5x11in cardstock with glue sticks to form an original one-off piece.

Group Activity: Visitors will assist with painting a 32x48in canvas designed by Ocular Arcade. Paint used will be Acrylic CFC and Lead Free paints. Each hour, we’ll work on a designated section of the canvas to work toward the completion of the canvas by the end.
