Article: Hello my whoop friends. This video is about flight controller standoff repair. I'll show you how to fix your flight controller standoff, also called an FC standoff, or flight controller mount. It's frustrating when the rest of the tiny whoop frame is still intact but can no longer be flown because of a broken flight controller standoff.

Luckily, I found a solid, tried-and-tested solution, which I'll show you in this video. With this solution, you can create an unbreakable flight controller standoff. At least, almost unbreakable. In this video, I'll explain the cause of the flight controller standoff problem and how manufacturers could improve this FC standoff issue. How manufacturers could make life easier for us whoop pilots with small improvements to the flight controller mount. The main topic of this video is my titanium screw solution for the community.

I'll show you how lightweight this FC standoff solution is, but also what problems can arise if everything isn't precisely matched. There are also other FC mount solutions, which I'll also briefly show you in this video. However, these solutions aren't suitable for all frames. In this video, I'll also show you what length the titanium screws should be and how you can make the plastic washers yourself.

I'll show you how to drill out the tiny whoop frame or the flight controller mount, or even more precisely the flight controller standoff, so that the titanium screw holds perfectly. I'll explain why you don't need to cut a thread and how I built a Depron spacer so I didn't have to shorten the screw.

Finally, in this video, I'll show you how to turn your three-point canopy into a four-point canopy using my dental floss canopy technique. And right at the end, I'll show you the final result and, as a little bonus, a weight comparison between a stock tiny whoop frame and a tiny whoop frame I modified.
